Slashdot | Senate Approves 4-Month Delay In Digital TV Switch

Slashdot | Senate Approves 4-Month Delay In Digital TV Switch.

What a bunch of crap. It doesn’t matter when the deadline is. People procrastinate and will wait until the last minute (or later) to do anything. All that is going to happen by postponing the deadline is that we’ll have to live with another 4 months of complaints and crappy tv.

Just do the switch and get it over with.

Besides, when did TV viewing become a necessity of life? If a couple million people are without TV, is it really that big of a deal? 2.5 million (or even 20 million depending on which number you take) is a very small percentage of the total TV households in the us. Why should 98% of the viewing households suffer because of this?
