I bought a new mountain bike!! Yeah, FINALLY!!
I’ve got by for about 10 years with really crappy “mountain” bikes from Walmart and Target. However, with EJ starting to get into biking and with me wanting to do something during the summer, I decided it was time to get something decent.
After much deliberation and review reading I settled on a Windsor Cliff 4900. The company, Bikes Direct, is a direct to buyer company that specializes in good quality bikes at discount prices. I was very hesitant to buy from them because I was worried they would be some kind of internet scam, but after checking out reviews on many different biking forums and blogs I’m fairly comfortable with the purchase. The bike is supposed to arrive on Monday so we’ll see.
Now my goal is to ride from Belgrade to Bozeman this summer. Only about 12 miles but there really isn’t a great way to bike from one to the other. My guess is I will be hitting a lot of dirt roads and taking about 20 miles to do it instead of 12 but oh well. Anyone want to ride with me?
