Best dog ever
On Friday we lost a very loved member of our family. Charly was a friend, confidant and protector who I could always count on to be there. I miss her and hope that she isn’t in pain anymore.
Tracy got Charly for me about a year after we started dating. We had been to the humane society where Charly and I bonded immediately. I wanted a dog but we didn’t think we should have a pet since we were still in school and living in an apartment. One of the happiest days of my life was when one day after class Tracy surprised me by having Charly there waiting for me.
Charly was only about 6 months old when we got her. Very much a puppy, she loved to run, jump, play fetch and all the normal “dog” things. However, Charly was never a normal dog. One of her greatest thrills was to kick back with the fraternity and throw back a couple beers. That dog could drink!!
There are many stories of Charly and many memories that I will always cherish. I love you girl. Have fun with mom and thank you for all the years of happiness.
