That’s right folks. In a little less than 7 days (look in the upper left corner of the mlb.com site) the first Spring Training game will be played.

Can you smell it? That little something in the air? Yeah that. It’s the smell of grass, dirt, sweat and beer. All the signs that baseball is right around the corner. Man I love this time of year!!!

Vikings: Planning stage for free agency begins

Well, looks like I’m about to go out of fashion again (although if you talk to my sisters that happened sometime before I was born). I have had a Brad Johnson jersey for quite a while. When they brought him back a couple years ago I was excited because I could wear my Johnson jersey and say it was for Brad Johnson not because it’s my last name. Well, today I saw an article in the Star Tribune saying that the Vikes are about ready to release Big Bad Brad. Think there’s any chance Bethel Johnson will stay with the Vikes and take number 14?

Oh well, I always have my trusty Cris Carter jersey. That will never go out of style!!!

Tells a little about his drive to be better than last year. If it works, watch out!!! How does it sound to have a guy hit like Ryan Howard but with half the strikeouts and 18 months younger? Man I’d love to see that.

Tomorrow is the official start of spring training. I can’t wait!! Now if only Dishnetwork would be able to get the MLB Extra Innings package. Sadly it doesn’t sound like they will.

I’ve heard some rumblings about a potential trade with the Cardinals for Larry Fitzgerald (former Minny kid with fantastic WR skills). If we got someone like him a WR in the draft may not be too important. However, as things sit right now, we need help desperately on the offensive side.

Williamson has never shown that he can use his speed to actually help get open, Robinson is gone, Taylor is probably gone. That leaves Billy McMullin and a bunch of unknown practice squad players. Not exactly something that strikes terror in the hearts of opposing defenses.
