Laying It On The Line

Holy Crap!!! Not only is there an incident with a plane hitting a building in Manhattan but it’s a plane registered to Cory Lidle (yes, that Cory Lidle) who was the only occupant.

Sounds like the plane was having problems and the pilot (I’m assuming Lidle) was trying to get back to the airport. Nothing terror related. Just weird because recently I read either Aaron or Seth saying that Lidle may be an option for the back of the Twins pitching order.

Good news all around. Brad Radke feels fine after his 5 inning start and the Twins clinch the AL Central crown after the spoiler Royals sweep the Detroit Tigers.

Let me tell you, I was at the local watering hole watching the Vikings lose to the Bills when my buddy Todd convinced the manager to change one of the TVs to the Royals game. As one patron said, “there’s never been so many people rooting for the Royals as there are today”.

It was awesome seeing the Royals hand it to the Tigers when they were down 6-0 at one time. Let me tell you, we were all hooting and hollering (and drinking shots) when the final out was recorded.

Anyway, now the Twins face the Athletics in the first round. Too bad New York ended with the top record in the AL. I’d love to see anyone try to win a World Series when the Twins have the home field advantage throug the playoffs.
