Fake ID sellers dismiss tamperproof push

Overall this article is kind of a “whatever” piece. People are making fake IDs, others are buying them. This has been going on for ever.

What got me was the last paragraph.

“This is the government’s fault,” said Maria Zuniga, 55, an illegal immigrant from Honduras who sells and transports documents. “They won’t even give us a number to work or a driver’s license.”

So, let me get this straight. You are in this country illegally. So your breaking the law just being here. Then to make it even worse you are breaking the law in other ways (selling fake IDs and helping others enter and stay illegally in the U.S.) and somehow this is all the governments fault? Of course you can’t get a number to work here. YOU ARE HERE ILLEGALLY!!! Why should the U.S. government support people who knowingly and willingly break the law?

This whole illegal immigrant thing is just baffling to me. Why should amnesty be granted to people who sneak into the U.S? If amnesty is granted to all these people, why should anyone actually work through the process to legally enter the U.S?

Obviously I missed the recent governmental changes that made illegal acts not that illegal if they had to do with immigration.
