Twins 9, White Sox 4, 16 innings
That’s two in a row against the guys in Chicago. The Twins have now won the last three games against very good teams. The have won two series in a row both on the road. They also won the Red Sox series the first weekend of August. (We’ll ignore the results against Seattle though). Is this a sign of things to come?
Last night’s dinger put Justin Morneau in a tie with Jacque Jones for the team homerun lead. The both sit at 17.
At the beginning of the season I would have thought that Justin would already have 20+ homeruns. However, considering this is his first full year in the big leagues, I’ll cut him some slack. He’s a talented kid. I’m sure he’ll figure it out eventually. Let’s just hope he does it by the start of the season next year.
Oh, I guess I should give Romero a little love after last night. He pitched two innings without blowing it. That’s all I have to say about that.

Tonight is a matchup between Johan Santana and Mark Buehrle. This is one of those games where I really wish I had MLB Extra Innings. Should be a fantastic game. Hopefully the Twins can win and sweep the series.
Well, I’m out. Later.
