Minnesota Twins : The Official Site
Tomorrow my wife is going to an all day scrapbooking class. Let’s say that again so it can really sink in, all day scrapbooking class. Yeah, my sports addiction is weird (insert rolling eye smily here)!!!
Anyway, because she will be gone, tomorrow will be dedicated to Xbox during the late morning and early afternoon, and the Twins game at Old Chicago for late afternoon and evening. Is there much better (in Montana) than sitting at your favorite watering hole with a friend or two watching the Twins play? If we had any form of baseball around here, I’d probably go to a game. However, since we don’t I have to make do as I can.
How about the NFL draft? I know quite a few people are complaining that the Vikes didn’t take Mike Williams. I would like it known that I am not one of these people.
I think Troy Williamson will work out just fine. He’s not as big as Williams, but he is a lot faster. In my mind Williams is a possession receiver. We already have Nate Burleson, we don’t need a possession guy, we need someone that can stretch the field. Want another bonus? This from NFL.com “excelling on special teams as a kickoff returner and gunner on the coverage units.”
I know Williamson will not be a lifelong punt returner. However, he’s a rookie. It’s one of those “trial by fire” things. Put him there this year and let him use that speed to get to the house.
Well, I’m done. Check back next week.
