Living Wills

Living Wills

I’m a very conservative person (Republican) but I don’t agree with everything the RNC has to say. Right now there is a court/political fight over Terri Schiavo and whether or not her husband has the right to have her feeding tube removed so she can die. My feeling is that she has been in a vegetative state for 15 years. It’s time to let her go. Why would anyone choose to go on like this?

Folks, fill out a living will. Doesn’t matter if you choose to be artificially supported if you have some sort of medical problem or if you would like to have the “plug pulled”. Give your family and friends an idea of what you want. It’s easy, free and will help alleviate anything like the Schiavo case happening to you.

Neat Site

QCBaseball: Your home for baseball drills, baseball instruction, and youth baseball coaching information

Seth Stoh’s post today mentions JC Durbin “pitching from the stretch”. I’ve heard this term quite a bit, but I didn’t fully understand what it meant. Well, a quick search on the internet and I found the QCBaseball site. It has a ton of info that I find interesting.

Overall QCBaseball is about coaching baseball. However it also has stuff to help the average baseball viewer better understand the terminology and reasoning behind the stuff you hear on TV. And before you ask, no I am not associated with the site. I just thought it was cool

BTW, here’s the definition of “pitching from the stretch”.

So, how about those Vikings? If they aren’t careful, they may actually field a decent defense. When was the last time that happened?

The additions of Fred Smoot, Darren Sharper, Napoleon Harris and Pat Williams is huge. My wish is that we trade for Donovin Darius and have an unreal defensive backfield this coming year. Picture it. Smoot and Winfield backed up by Darius and Chavous. Man I would love that.

Well, I’m out. Chat at you later.

Vegas Tripping

VegasTripping.com

I am going to Vegas the tail end of May. Last night I found out that my sisters and a couple of their friends will meet us down there. That is absolutely fantastic!! Vegas is one of those places where the more the merrier. Can’t wait to get down there.

I’m thinking about heading to one of the Las Vegas 51′s baseball games. Here in Montana we only have rookie level ball, so it may be cool to watch a AAA game. Not sure if I can talk my wife, sisters or misc. friends into it though.

Twins spring training is in full swing and here are a couple tidbits.

Morneau seems to be over most of his illnesses and is back at first.

Juan Castro is sucking it up so hopefully Bartlett can take advantage of it.

Cuddyer is going to be in the lineup nearly every day. It’s about time!!!

Joe Mauer’s knee seems just fine. Let’s hope it stays that way and our young catcher will be making the first of many All Star appearances.

Joe Nathan and Juan Rincon both singed 2 year contracts. That should give plenty of time for some of the young guns to get ready to take over the set-up and closer roles.

Joe Mays pitched a couple innings striking out two, giving up one hit and one walk. It would be really nice if he could be a productive member of the rotation.

Oh yeah, Radke and Santana are still there.

Can’t think of much else. It’s still early in spring season though.

Oh, if you don’t already know, MLB.com’s Gameday Audio is great. You need a relatively high speed connection (I have 256K DSL), but listening to the games while watching play by play has got me through quite a few times when the games weren’t televised. Check it out.

With that, I’m calling it a day.
